The Importers 10 required data elements are:

* Manufacturers name and address

* Sellers name and address* Consolidators name and address

* Container stuffing location (Address at which goods loaded into a container)

* Buyers name and address (Last named buyer)

* Ship to name and address (Party physically receiving the goods)

* Importer of records number (EIN Number)

* Consignees number (EIN Number)

* Country of origin

* Harmonized tariff schedule number (to the 6th digit)

 

Information will be required by CBP for all ocean shipments at least 24 hours prior to the vessel loading at the foreign port of lading. Both container stuffing location and Consolidator name and address can be submitted when the vessel is on the water, but no later than 24 hours prior to arrival.

CBP also requires two additional data elements (the 2 of the 10+2), to be provided, which will be supplied by the carrier. These two data elements are entirely the responsibility of the Carrier
